Robogals Workshop Sussex EMEA- Creating tomorrow’s engineers todayInterested in Robotics or going into Science Technology , Engineering or Maths? Come and join Robogals for a taster session in Robotics where we will be teaching you how to navigate our LEGO EV3 Mindstorms through a challenging maze and also how to command our NAO robots.

The Enormous Turnip
A magical twist on the classic folktale, told with puppetry, storytelling and live music, followed by a colourful kaleidoscope workshop.

Vomiting Pumpkins!
Decorate your own ceramic pumpkin and make it vomit in our gruesome science experiment.

Delve into palaeontology with Minecraft EDU! Children will work together inside a Minecraft world to carefully uncover a fossil – what will be revealed?!

Masterchef meets molecules as the Royal Society of Chemistry throw open the kitchen cupboard and reveal the secret science within.

Strap yourselves in and let’s explore space together. Join Steve from Blast Science and voyage round the planets, to the stars and beyond.

Kinetic carousels – make your own fun DIY toy that moves!
We love ‘toying with science’ so come along to the Toy Museum this October half-term and make a kinetic carousel which spins wildly, demonstrating potential and kinetic energy.

Horrid Hemoglobin – Make Your Own blood!
Learn about the body and concoct a vial of your own blood at this workshop for kids in a studio by the sea.

Art on the Barge – Wildlife Watercolour Workshop with Sarah Edmonds
Sarah Edmonds is known for her drawings and paintings of animals, birds and wild places. Come and find out about the techniques she uses to create her images, both in her studio and sketchbook, and then create your own!

A drop-in day at Brighton’s newest seaside cafe, with acres of tea and cake, tons of mosquitoes and a country mile of measurements. (The mosquitoes are safe; the measurers… it’s hard to tell)

Sphere Science presents: Pop Tubs
React a carbonate and an acid to make carbon dioxide to ‘pop’ the lid off a container. Repeat this at different temperatures to see how the speed of the reaction is affected.

This Halloween enter the mysterious world of creatures that emerge in the dark. Discover the science of how things glow in the dark, meet a rescue animal from Sussex Bat Group* and see what eerie items can be found in owl pellets.

Little Horrors Lab is a whole day dedicated to gruesome science on Halloween!
