World of Food – School Holiday Cooking

9am-11am, 12pm-2pm, 3pm-5pm

Five mornings covering different global cuisines for the 7 to 12-year-old in your life. These fun, hands-on workshops with experienced cookery teacher and dad Jethro will see your child learning classic cookery skills whilst virtually travelling the world. You may never want to cook again!

Book single or multiple days – bookings for multiple days receive a discounted price. Each day has a 9am-11am session or a 12pm-2pm session for ages 7-12 (and a later session at 3pm-5pm for ages 13-16).

  • Oct 28 – Italy: Gnocchi, Torta al Testo (Umbrian filled flatbreads)
  • Oct 29 – America: American style pancakes with crispy bacon, Buffalo Wings, Rainbow Slaw
  • Oct 30 – Spain: Spanish Empanadas, Mini Tortillas, Patatas Bravas
  • Oct 31 – Halloween special
  • Nov 1 – Caribbean: Pineapple Jerk Chicken, Banana Cupcakes, Mango Salsa

Skills covered include safe knife use (the bridge and the claw), safe boiling and frying, safe baking (including oven temperature control and timing), kneading, mixing and measuring, and vegetable, fish and meat preparation (please note, this is over all five days and not all the skills will be covered in any one day).
