Always a festival favourite, Ian B Dunne returns with more strange noises, levitating objects, flash bangs and the occasional funny smell. He’s bringing some rare and fantastic equipment, like his Van de Graaff generator and a singing Tesla coil, to make you make gape, gasp, wonder and laugh. Come and be spellbound by science. A talk for all ages from infants to infinity.

Ian is one of the country’s leading practitioners in science public engagement and knows that getting them young is key. His public shows are for an age range of 4 to 104. Ian knows that if the adults do not enjoy themselves as well, they will not bring their kids. Armed only with a venue, a table, some water and an electric socket, Ian encourages people to think differently about the world around them, to realise that science is rather cool and that being interested is a good thing. He enjoys passing on the wonders of science and the universe to people … and making them laugh too.
