Fidget and Squidge It – Sensory Science Fun

Wednesday 19 February 2020

2.00pm - 3.00pm, 3.30pm - 4.30pm

Science is all about getting hands-on and investigating for yourself.

Join me for Sensory Science where every child can do every step of every experiment and activity.

Children will (we hope!) see this workshop as:

⭐ Fun making their own fidget spinner, testing out different designs and finding out what is inside bearings and why we use them in everyday life.
⭐ A chance to get messy making slime that they design and create from scratch weighing, measuring and mixing their ingredients.
⭐ A cool way to make kinetic sand. This weirdly mesmerising material can be moulded like wet sand, but is fluffy and crumbly all at the same time. It seems like magic, but it’s just science.

Parents will see this workshop as:
🧠 A way to stimulate their child’s brain to build nerve connections within the neural pathways. This improves sensory processing, coordination and both fine and gross motor skills.
🧽 A chance to let their child experiment, fidget, have fun and create a mess that they wont be scraping off the walls and carpet for the next few weeks.
🧪 The opportunity to let their children learn the science behind the fun in a simple, accessible way.
