Science comedy phenomenon Festival of the Spoken Nerd join forces with stand-up and hotel-room chef George Egg in a double bill that brings new meaning to the phrase “Domestic Science”.

The Nerds (as featured on BBC’s QI) will bring an hour-long show of DIY science and songs inspired by their BBC Radio 4 comedy series “Domestic Science” to prove that you don’t need expensive kit or a fancy laboratory to do experiments at home, while “The Anarchist Cook” George Egg prepares a three-course meal using just the equipment you’ll find in a hotel room. And if you want to, you can taste it at the end.

Alongside this never-to-be-seen again, unrepeatable (and probably un-insurable) double bill, George will join The Nerds on stage in a grand finale to create the most scientifically accurate – and possibly most scientifically inedible – dessert ever created.

Don’t miss two of your favourite acts doing things that really shouldn’t be done with household objects at The Old Market this February.

£12.50/10. Ages 12+. Show duration 2hrs 30.
