A special horror version of Richard Robinson’s game, revamped for Halloween. Normally we design an animal and see how it does in the toughest test of all: survival on Planet Earth.

In the Halloween version you design and draw a monster you believe will cope best. Zombies, Vampires, Witches, even Unicorns* ; all are welcome.  Surely horror movie monsters can withstand anything!

But the Earth is a cruel place: droughts, volcanoes, tsunamis, diseases, meteor impacts, ice ages… Your creations will be tested, as Richard rains real-world nastinesses about their heads. Only the fittest will survive.

This is a beginners guide to life and evolution on Earth. The planet has shaped the animals and plants that live on it over four billion years. The workshop shows the forces that have made us what we are, and which will continue to do so.

There will be time for discussions and demonstrations of some surprising aspects of evolution.

*No real unicorns will be harmed during these games
