Unearth virtual velociraptors in a prehistoric Minecraft world! Using an educational edition of the computer game, children work together to uncover a mysterious fossil and then get the chance to handle real specimens from the collection at the Booth Museum.

Delve into paleontology with Minecraft EDU and join Curiosity Hub at the Booth as part of Brighton Science Festival 2018. Children will work together inside a Minecraft world to carefully uncover a fossil – what will be revealed?! Plus, get ‘hands-on’ with real fossils from the museum collection before or after each workshop!

Minecraft EDU is the educator version of the popular sandbox game, and provides a safe and interactive learning environment. Students will be provided with an individual laptop and Minecraft EDU login, and will work together with a teacher inside a virtual world.

We recommend that children have some familiarity with Minecraft prior to attending this workshop; please note they will need to be able to use a computer mouse and keyboard together.

Curiosity Hub is a not-for-profit Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths (STEAM) education organisation based in Brighton.

Ages 7+

£8. Limited places per workshop, so book early to avoid disappointment.
