Explore the mysteries of Halloween!

Why do witches’ brews bubble and fume? What goes in the cauldron to make them change colour? Take this opportunity to mix chemicals, create colours and cast a spell. Examine some of the many microscopic ingredients that might go in the cauldron, and learn more about them. Student-led demonstrations, strange wonderful noises, bubbling colourful potions and visual illusion abound during Spooky Science at Bellerbys!

Activities include Spooky pumpkins, The weird Patterns in Sound, Scary Holograms, making a crystal garden, Keep Calm it’s Halloween!, Don’t buzz the wire!, programming Robots, Who has stolen the Witch’s cauldron?, reptiles display, Wonders under a microscope, organs dissections, The Mystery behind Non-Newtonian Fluids and much more!

Also, we will have as special guest Dr Jonathan, BBC’s Rough Science, delivering his C60, Buckyball workshop.
