Where did you come from? All your atoms arrived in the same place at the same time a few years ago to make the marvel that is YOU. Was that a miracle, a coincidence, a plan? Let’s look at your journey over the past 14 billion years, since the Big Bang. I know you think it has only been interesting for the past 10 years, but I promise, your atoms had a pretty exciting ride before that: exploding stars, under-water volcanoes, evolution, bacteria, worms, dinosaurs, apes, humans, love, hate, parents, neighbours, wars, floods, famines and earthquakes…

Now we have looked everywhere, everything can be explained, from the Big Bang to Bognor Regis.

(Except Bognor Regis. Nothing can explain Bognor Regis.)

The serious aim of the show is to provide an overview of life, the Universe and everything, to be a sort of basic scaffolding on which we hang further knowledge as it arrives though our life.  Throughout the show we keep a focus on your particular atoms, following them right up to the present day, and the present moment.

Richard Robinson is the director of Brighton Science Festival. He has written over 20 books on science, and presents science in many different places in many different ways.

“The man is a genius! Richard Robinson is just a brilliant presenter. This session was off the scale good!”

“We have tried to encourage Joe’s school to book Richard for a session, and have booked him ourselves for Joe’s birthday party.”

“Brilliant, entertaining, interesting and informative, the children loved it – have conducted the experiments at home – and remembered the scientific explanations.”

“Absolutely superb. Fantastic. Kept everyone entertained. Learned a lot.”

“Needed more time; could have listened for ever!”

“Richard’s talks were brilliant. I laughed and learned!”
